Backyard BBQ Brunch at Ritz Carlton, DIFC
All right folks. It’s time to update you all of a Dubai Saturday brunch that could entice you if you are a lover of meat and al-fresco dining. The Ritz Carlton DIFC has kicked off a backyard BBQ brunch at their No.5 terrace lounge, serving some beautiful grills, salads and desserts. The menu is not crazy long, there’s no grey area – its either meats or salads, if you will. There is the laid back ambiance of acoustic music paired with the sizzle of the barbecue, with an occasional squeal of excitement from the dessert and cotton candy area.

You may begin with the salad bar, the spread going all the way from citrus quinoa salad to BBQ beef salad on the healthy meter. The latter and the black bean avo salad could impress you while the same couldn’t be said about the cold peanut noodles or the Italian deli pasta salad, both a little too bland for our taste.
Grills area was the real deal. Slabs of sirloin marinated in rosemary and black pepper & herbs laid sizzling alongside spoonful of rice cooking in aromatic spices. Mini beef burgers, grilled chicken and roasted potatoes, succulent prawn skewers, lamb chops, corn on the cob – all glamorously placed on the buffet counter to tempt and tease. Definitely, one for the meat lovers, I repeat.
Dessert section wasn’t your over the top spread of treats, but primarily consisted of cakes and puddings. The cakes for that matter, could have been sliced in smaller sizes, to avoid wastage and making it easier to taste and try everything.

It wasn’t a brunch to bring you back simply for the food. But yes, together with the laid back ambience, the relaxing music by a live acoustic band , the pleasant service, the beer bottles displayed in welcoming ice boxes and the constant sizzle of the meat in the background, the Backyard Brunch might be quite the option for you on your meat craving Saturdays.
