MEDIA: Willy Wonka’s Hot Chocolate Trolley

Dubai temperature has cooled down so fast and so drastically that I’m able to sit without a second glance at the air-condition switch even at 12 noon – and that’s saying A LOT because, hey, this is the sandpit we are talking about. Evenings are turning so pleasant that advance reservations are becoming mandatory to get yourself a decent seat in the outdoor section of restaurants. But with all due respects to the happening outdoor experiences the city has to offer, some days in this weather are just meant for curling up in a comfy couch, staring into nothingness, with a rich, hot chocolate in hand. If you sense that sort of a feeling creeping up on you, you might want to head over to the Kambaa lobby lounge at the Address Dubai Marina hotel, where Willy Wonka himself will serve you a fantastic cup of cocoa.

The first person to notice Mr.Wonka was my daughter. She peeled her eyes off the fancy tall hat only to stare harder at the trolley laden with chocolate chips and marshmallows. There was frantic pointing at the MnMs in jars and a following (predictable) tantrum when the pointing was not acknowledged in time! Mr. Wonka calmly smiled through it all, listened to our Cocoa preferences and went about mixing up some magic chocolate potions for our needy souls.

Pure, high quality chocolate containing cocoa ranging from 52 – 72% meant that your hot drink could be as milky or as dark as you preferred. The chosen chocolate chips are stirred in very hot whole milk, smothered with whipped cream, sprinkled with MnM and finally topped with a flavored marshmallow. Served along side a cookie or a bite-sized sponge cake, the Hot Chocolate is the star at Kambaa’s Willy Wonka’s Hot Chocolate Trolley promotion running for the month of November at the Address Dubai Marina hotel. A television runs a detailed feature on the production of cocoa beans to its transformation to exquisite chocolate. If you so fancy, you can also nab yourself some decadent chocolates or sweet treats from Willy Wonka’s collection.

The promotion is priced AED 35 for a mug of hot chocolate, served along side a cookie by Willy Wonka in his quaint trolley. It is exclusively for November and runs from 10am to 6pm everyday at Kambaa. FoodKissed was extended a friendly invitation by the hotel to enjoy the promotion.
