Taste Of Fame – dining with the stars!

It’s not everyday that one gets to dine with Will Smith, Clooney and Amitab Bachan under one roof. The Rock and The Hulk guard your table, while Captain America and Justin Beiber keep you entertained. All these personalities together with fabulous service, great interiors and wonderful food. That is Taste Of Fame for you. A one of its kind fine dining restaurant in the Sunset Mall, Jumeirah that lets you dine in style with superstars.

Its all about glitz and glamour!

The soft launch invitation from Ms. Hibaq Basser informed me that the venue was to be inaugurated by His Highness Sheik Mansour  Al Thani. Afterall, it is the first celebrity silicon works venue in the Middle East. The restaurant entrance was adorned in Hollywood theme, complete with plush red carpet, giant Oscars, paparazzi and photoshoot zones. The interiors were enthralling, truly giving an aura of glitz and glamour. Silicon statues of celebrities dotted the wide space with a Spiderman here and an Einstein there.

Dinner was an incredible 4 course. The first course was a platter of delicacies. There was dynamite shrimp, sushi, goat cheese in a bag and lamb in skewers, one better than the other.

Second course was Seabas on creamy risotto, which was an absolute pleasure to dig into. Not wanting to waste time while the third course was brought to our table, I scurried around to click some much-craved pictures with my favorite stars.

The third course was Australian Wagyu Beef on a bed of delicious mashed potatoes. By now, the bar was set so high that the sweetaholic in me could not wait for the dessert to arrive. They did not disappoint at all. A platter was laid out which made us say “Oooh” and “Aaah” over and over again.

Taste Of Fame, all in all was a unique experience in itself. What with all the celebrity stars, the fabulous food and the spotless service, UNIQUE must definitely be their agenda too! Kudos to the team for the concept and its incredible implementation!
