Best outdoor cafe in Dubai? Try Inn The Park.
How awesome would be the combination of your favorite coffee, eggs & toasties and an expanse of greenery? Pretty awesome I would imagine. Well, somebody took all these good things, clubbed it together, brought it under one roof and called it Inn The Park.
The lawns of the park invitingly extends before you, as you watch your kids explore the strands of the grass clutching their OJ glasses in their hands, the Dubai winter sun shining on their beautiful hair. And before you, the server places a gorgeously plated Avocado mash on toast, and Eggs benedict seated next to organic chicken sausages. The open air ambiance of a well-maintained SOLAR POWERED Dubai park merges with the best offerings of a well-established bistro to give you Inn The Park, a much loved casual dining spot, arguably one of the best outdoor cafes in Dubai, serving you breakfast, lunch and a (very early) dinner, in the shade of a magnificent tree.

Our breakfast order was quite elaborate. We were hungry and the open air park ambiance had made us wild and daring. The order comprised of Smashed avocado, French toast and Scrambled eggs & smoked salmon. A chemex was requested, and so was an extra table to place all the plates and platters. The little person with us (who hates being called “little” by the way) declared she feels like eggs, so her order turned out to be for Sausage & Eggs.
The avocado smash was delicious, the French toast was simple and non-desserty (the way it’s supposed to be, I’m told), and the salmon and eggs reasonably tasty. I guess I was just being conservative, going for the “safe” dishes rather than exploring their home-made granola yogurt or the Acai Bowl. I do promise to be more adventurous in my next expedition, but that’s another day, another meal.
Inn the Park is a perfect spot for breakfast – during a nice winter morning, especially if you have kids. There is fresh air (lots of it), good service (most of it) and pleasant food (almost all of it), making it a contestant for the title of the best outdoor cafe in Dubai. Without knowing that all the items on the menu were available at all times, I stuck to the breakfast menu alone. Else I might have told you about the Mushroom barley risotto or the Thai beef wrap (spotted in the mains section of the menu). Or even the Hot flourless chocolate cake or the Salt caramel affogato – all of which kept wolf whistling at me from the “sweet stuff” section on the menu. But those are, like I said, responsibilities for another day, another meal.
